The trumpet shall certainly sound at a highly-engaging lunchtime concert this season, when the Nigerian-Scottish trumpeter Aaron Azunda Akugbo brings his inimitable joie-de-vivre to DICMF audiences. Fast developing a following as a leading exponent of his instrument, this charismatic performer possesses an abundance of natural humour, which translates into an effortless engagement with audiences. On the occasion of his Irish recital début in the dramatic setting of Townhall, 1WML, he joins forces with the “wild-at-heart genius” (The Arts Desk), Milo Harper.
