2020 marked the 50th Anniversary of two important Irish music organisations, our own festival and the Irish Chamber Orchestra. We are pleased finally to be able to highlight over 50 years of music-making by two of Ireland’s vibrant establishments with a very special concert at Castletown House, birthplace of the Festival in 1970. We welcome back the sensational Scottish guitarist Sean Shibe who will perform David Fennessy’s, Rosewoods, which was commissioned by both organisations to celebrate their respective landmark anniversaries in 2020. A kaleidoscope of music by Arnold, Dvořák, Elgar and Vivaldi will also feature in this summer evening concert.

Presented in partnership with the Office of Public Works and in association with Castletown House
