DICMF returns to its founding and spiritual home, Castletown House for an early evening concert by Derry-born pianist Ruth McGinley in the magnificent Entrance Hall of this Palladian style house. Since winning the piano final of the BBC Young Musician competition, Ruth has gone on to enjoy a wide-ranging career, collaborating with some of the most acclaimed musicians working today from the worlds of classical, jazz, folk, electronic and film music. DICMF is delighted to present this highly engaging and distinctive artist to perform music from ‘Aura’, her latest solo piano release, a stunning classical re-imagining of traditional Irish airs by Belfast composer and musician, Neil Martin.
